  • 1¾ cups flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 6 ounces chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1½ cups unsalted butter
  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • ⅔ cup milk (add more if needed)
  • 26 Oreo cookies, crushed into crumbs
  • 10 ounces pectin-based gummy candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 baking pan with baking spray.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt on low speed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Carefully stir in hot coffee until blended; pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Once cooled, prepare the pudding by whisking together the pudding mix and milk; spread over the cake and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. For the frosting, melt butter and mix with cocoa powder; add powdered sugar and milk gradually until smooth. Spread over the pudding layer and top with crushed Oreos.
