  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the prepared sauce and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and let cook for another minute.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture before adding lime juice and cilantro.
  8. Serve hot garnished with sliced green onions.
