  • 5 medium apples
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/2 cups salted butter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Pinch of fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and spices.
  3. In a large bowl, melt the salted butter. Stir in remaining ingredients until crumbly to form the crust mixture.
  4. Reserve some crust mixture for topping; press the rest into the prepared pan. Layer the apple filling on top and sprinkle reserved crust over it.
  5. Bake for 38 to 45 minutes until golden brown; cool for 1-2 hours before slicing.
  6. Prepare salted caramel sauce as directed.
